Purchase Method bath wipes (found at Target) and keep them under your bathroom sink. They are quick, efficient and perfect for when a visitor drops by unannounced.
Financial Tip:
Drive the speed limit. Cars use about 20% more fuel driving at 70 miles per hour than they do at 55 miles per hour.
Backyard Summer Fun:
With the over inflated economy today who wants to leave home. Gas prices are at an all time high. Traveling for most people this year is just out of the question. But never fear, you can still have a great summer with your family. It's time to get inventive and have a fun filled summer right in your own back yard.
Camp out Sleepover: If you don't have a tent borrow one, invite a few friends and have a blast. Don’t forget the camp fire songs.
Backyard Scavenger Hunt: Hide some specific items in your yard and make a list of what was hidden. Have your child go out into the yard and locate all of the items on the list.
Backyard BBQ: Allow your child to make the menu and help prepare the food. Together you can cook the food on the grill.
What's a BBQ without Homemade Ice cream? You will need 2 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 cup of whole milk, 1 tsp. flavoring (Vanilla extract, Chocolate syrup, Strawberry syrup etc.), 6 tbsp. rock salt, 1 pint size ziploc bag, 1 gallon size ziploc bag and ice. Fill the gallon size bag halfway with ice and rock salt. Fill the pint size bag with the milk, sugar and flavoring...seal bag. Place the small bag inside the large bag and seal. Shake the large bag until you have ice cream (5 to 8 minutes).
Backyard Production: Get some of your neighborhood friends and make up a skit or play. Plan out a stage and costumes, and then invite your other neighbors to watch your production.
Aqua Piñata: Fill a large plastic pail halfway with water and hang it from a tall tree branch. Blindfold kids one at a time, spin each one around, and let them try to tip the pail with a broom stick or plastic bat. Allow extra slack in the rope to have an older child or adult raise and lower the pail while the child is swinging.
